Oct Babies Bday Celebration

Hello!! (:

Ystd was a night out - after so many weeks of weekend study, I took a break - with the Usuals, NATO, at Vivocity's Marche to celebrate the Oct Babies Bday.

 Derrick, Sam & Wendy.
Happy Belated Birthday!

Note: Marche don't allow you to bring outside food. So after dinner, we went to Starbucks for Round2 and had the celebration there. We had a customized cake made from Polar and this is how it looks like:

Photoshop-ed Sam in because I couldn't find a picture that had the 3 of them. In fact, to find Derrick and Wendy together was already so difficult. Picture turns out fine and it was very thoughtful of YP to come up with such an idea. What sweet friend/s ya? (:

Cake is of peppermint choc flavour, 0.5kg, can share about 13 - 15 people?

We all had a slice each and the babies' portion was bigger than all of us. Taste pretty ok, and there was a layer of biscuit at the bottom! Nice! Anw, the babies had to eat up their own face. Funny!

Rosti is a must have! (:

Pizzahut's Super Pan Pizza Review

Tried the new Pizzahut's Super Pan Pizza?

Well, I did last wednesday! Made an online delivery and it was delivered within 20 - 30mins or less. Fast! Pizza was still hot when it arrived at the doorstep. Needless to say, chop chop snap pictures and started feasting.
Whenever you hear 'Pizzahut', people start drooling because they'll think of this:
Sweet N Spicy drumlets 6/10 pieces.
It's sooooo good. Seriously, one can never have enough of it.

Now, the Regular (6 slices) Hawaiian Super Pan Pizza - you can choose other toppings. Looking so fluffy and I can't wait to see how the inside of the crust look like. Obviously, don't compare it with the commercial or posters you see.

Tadah! Crust has melted cheese, tangy garlic napolic sauce.
To me, it tasted alil like a pasta sauce. But it's really nice!

Here's a clearer picture of the crust.

Now, that's what you call, eating pizza! The filling of the crust was so cheesy, I was having a fun time pulling cheese! (:

This new promotional item is pretty awesome and you should really give it a try! Think it this way, you can satisfy yourself with the drumlets after having pizza or pasta or whichever! (:

**

Spotted this dog on a Sunday morning at some hawker centre at Teok Blangah. Still a puppy, wagging tail and barking(? it wasn't really barking but whatever sound it made, it was calling for it's owner who was having her breakfast at the table).

Spotted creature no.2, huge snail on the wall of some HDB flat near ABC Market.

This is a really short post because I'm heading out for a swim! Need to get my colour back. Looking so gross now! :(

Long weekend ahead! Press on everyone! :D

Nip+Fab / Giant @ Tamp

Read this in Cleo's Magazine months ago, and it is only sold in Watsons. Everytime I check out the counters, there's hardly any tubs left. So, I decided to give it a try! Check out their website: http://www.nipandfab.com/

They have various products, from body to face. Apparently, they are pretty popular in the UK. Was thinking of trying out their facial products, soon! Anyway, I have been faithfully applying the cream everyday - twice and I'm hoping to see some results! Of course, with the add-on of abs and core exercise I do twice a week.

Will update in a month's time.

Went to Giant over the weekend for breakfast and fruits shopping. Hauled dragonfruit, kiwi, strawberry, banana and my favourite Nestle Fruity Paradise yogurt.

Sunday's breakfast at Giant's Foodcourt, Dumpling Noodle (dry)
It's really good!

See the number of trolleys parked at the side. And this is the scene at 10am on a Sunday morning.

Ootd for that day. Mummy's top /w pull & bear shorts

Tuesday's breakfast: Raisin Swirls. Cost less than $2 for 5pcs.
Cheap or what! Love it!

For wednesday, I decided to make Smoothie out of the fruits I've gotten.
Strawberry & Banana.

Today's (Thursday) breakfast, fruits on it's own, drizzled with honey!

If you're guessing what I had on Monday, well, it's cereals with strawberry and golden kiwi. I don't know if it's healthier eating but I'm definitely making an effort. I try really hard..

School's been mundane and there's another ootd for monday's lesson! Blue stripe top from Cotton on and Pull & Bear's shorts.

Side note, it's 6 more weeks to Taiwan trip with the boyf. I am unable to contain my excitement, already.

Have a good thursday and the weekend is near! :D

$1.20 chicken wing @ Eng Kee

On friday, my mother had a dinner appt with her colleagues so, leaving my dad to my care! We decided to head to Commonwealth Crescent after school for Eng Kee's chcicken wing since it's one of the nicer fried chicken wings to Old Chang Kee's.

It used to be priced at $1/piece but now, it's $1.20 which is still cheap if you compare to old chang kee's fried chicken which is now selling at $1.40! Anways, we ordered 2 plates of Bee hoon /w cabbage and overly cooked sunny side up, 1 plate Mee and Kway Tiao /w long beans and wu xiang, and 5 chicken wings (including drumsticks) adding up to $11! Cheap siol!

Bee Hoon wasn't to my liking since I found it alil less giam pang but the cabbage was good! Best of all, i got to raved about the chicken! There was this uncle who takeaway 10 chicken wings+drums. Hohoho! Alot of people queue for the poultry! So, it's a definitely must try!

If you must know, it's just round the corner where 2 chef is! Here's the address: Blk 117 #01-711, Commonwealth Crescent. opens from 12pm - 10.30pm, close on Sundays! Check them out on Facebook: Eng Kee Wing

Now, for the visuals:

Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside! Sedap!

Have a good Sunday! Time for breakfast with the family at Giant! Grocery Shopping <3

Lost & Found

10 years ago (give and take), my family used to patronise a particular duck stall at Sin Ming Rd. It was in the coffeeshop where Aston's is at Thomson Prata House & Salted Caramel.

Whenever my dad buys a roasted duck back, he'll tell the uncle to leave the drumstick alone because it will be mine. I love having my duck rice with drumstick using hands! Yes, like a glutton! :D Sadly, the uncle shifted.

My dad's a cabby so you know how cabby knows all the good food around Singapore. So he FOUND that duck stall! It's now at Stirling Rd, at a very old school coffeeshop.

This wanton mee stall also looks good! Order a bowl of wanton and oh boy! the soup was so delicious! According to the father, alot of people will queue for the wanton mee during lunch!

Anyway, this is the duck stall (opposite end of the wanton mee's). Soya Chicken and Roast Duck.
We ordered half a duck, braised beancurd and roast pork, for 5 pax. Uncle gave us a big bowl of soup too! (:

The only roast pork I eat. Crispy skin, equal distribution of fats! Pork was alil salted which was very appetizing  Sedap!

Roast duck! Sauce wasn't too overwhelming nor jelak and the skin, oh goshh. Pls kill me! I ate all the skin!

Close up of the meat!

I was a very satisfied kid at the end of the meal! Oh, did I mention that the chilli sauce the Uncle has is also very good? Complements the duck meat! Always, always have it with the chilli sauce! I had 2 servings of it.

Really glad my dad found this duck rice stall and I'm very sure, we'll be back for more duck meat (I always prefer duck to chicken!).

Busy Bee

Been really busy ever since school started. Hence, the hiatus.

Last week, I attended a church wedding - No, there wasn't the classic wedding song when the bride walked down - and it was touching to see the couple exchanged their vows.

I'm a crybaby.
1) When my friend got married, I was so happy for them deep down that I had to hold back my tears during the dinner. This time was no exception! -.-
2)When my friend left for UK, I cried like mad the first time and had to hold back my tears on the second occasion. FML seriously.
3) The recent 855 (starhub cable tv channel) drama - On Call36, was so touching I cried straight for a few episodes

Here's a pic of my ootd for the church wedding:

This is the ootd for the second night (hotel banquet @ Swissotel, The Stamford)

Let me show you some snippets of the dishes served at the banquet dinner

Lobster - Save the sharks! - enoki mushroom and prawn broth

 Cold Plate

Asparagus w Scallops - oh gosh! can die right now.

 Broccoli w Abalone which I didn't eat.

Now for the scenic view from the 64th storey!

How pretty is that? Even though it looks too commercialised with buildings everywhere. But oh wells! Singapore ya? (:

Let me end this post with a fat cat I chanced upon at Gim Moh last Sunday! Seriously sleepy and tired, I guess? It didn't bother to wake up even when passerby walked past it.

Meow!
